Matthew McConaughey will not be the next governor of Texas, but he might run the state one day.
At the end of November, the Austin resident actor posted a video on social media saying that he will not run for governor of Texas after being a real contender in a handful of major polls.

But now he’s saying it’s not completely out of the question in the future.
On an appearance on ‘The Today Show’ McConaughey said “I’m not gonna say no forever” to the general idea of going into politics.
“I’m not gonna say no forever. No, I’m not gonna say no forever, absolutely not. But this last year and a half just considering that sacred position of running for goverI became very aware of what matters to me, what I think’s best for me, and the most amount of people at the same time.
It was a wonderful process, so no I’m not gonna say never. Politics is a sacred spot that I have praise and honor for.”nor in the state of Texas…”
Oh yeah, and he was on the show to promote his animated movie ‘Sing 2’ from voicing a cartoon to political leader, why not?
