We hate to see this. He’s already pulled out of some shows including Willie Nelson’s Outlaw Music Festival, and Farm Aid 2021. Now, Sturgill has cancelled all of his shows through the end of the year.
And it has nothing to do with COVID, or anything COVID related. Sturgill is having vocal issues. After he made the announcement — which included cancelling a show at the Ryman Auditorium — the Ryman confirmed the cancellation, “in the interest of his long term recovery, Sturgill Simpson is taking the rest of the year off.”
Sturgill Simpson Has Cancelled All of His Fall Shows
“I am extremely disappointed and sorry to have to inform all of you that all five performances this week in New York at Webster Hall AND all three performances in Nashville at The Ryman Auditorium in November are officially cancelled. All tickets will be fully refunded. Much like last year, 2021 (in the most consensual way possible) can ALSO go fornicate with itself.”
