For the first time since 1998 the ACM Awards will not air on CBS.
The 2021 ACM Awards Show had about half as many viewers as they did in 2018, but still upped their rights to air it next year from $20 million to $22 million.
The ACM’s have been on three major networks since their television debut in 1972, starting on ABC from 1972-1978, then NBC 1979-1997.
So who knows, could an old network pick them up, maybe FOX or basic cable? They may need to lower their price.
