Dierks Bently could have easily performed his latest charting single at the ACM Awards last night but went with a route that reminded us why we like him so much.
Bently performed the U2 song “Pride (In the Name of Love)” with a bluegrass twist from the Station Inn with The War & Treaty. If that concept sounds familiar that’s because he released the cover on his 2010 passion project ‘Up On The Ridge’
Give that whole album a listen if you can’t. He went full bluegrass and it is fantastic. It saw very little commercial success, but I’m glad that hasn’t stopped him from performing music from it from time to time and on big ole stages.
