Lifetime Longhorn Jordan Spieth was once the hottest golfer on the PGA Tour, winning three of the four majors in a span of two years and was ranked number one in the world for 26 weeks.
After miraculously winning The Open Championship (British Open) in 2017 he has not played at the same level… until recently. Currently ranked 38th in the world the 27-year-old has had a solid season. Finishing in the top five of four of his six events including a win at last week’s Valero Texas Open.
It might just be the confidence Spieth needs going into the Masters this week. When he’s playing well Augusta is a great course for him, his first three appearances he went 2nd, 1st, 2nd. Last year’s tournament played in November we saw Jordan’s worst finish with a tie for the 46th spot.
Could this be the year he dawns the green jacket for the second time? Maybe, we’ll have to wait and see, but I’ve never lost faith in him. No matter what I’ll enjoy watching the historic major. Hook ’em Horns.
