CMT Digital premiered an all-new episode of its much-acclaimed original series, “CMT Campfire Sessions,” a collection of acoustic, feel-good performances from today’s top artists that reimagines a traditional campfire sing-along with songs and stories that give a nod to the nostalgia and intimacy of storytelling that is synonymous with country music.
In the newest installment, fan-favorite Cody Johnson appears for a stripped back fireside performance of his current single “Dear Rodeo,” plus “Monday Morning Merle,” “Understand Why,” “Cowboy Life” and a cover of Glen Campbell’s “Wichita Lineman,” all performed from his backyard in Huntsville, TX and backed by his bandmate Jody Bartula on fiddle.
“CMT Campfire Sessions” premiered in January and has featured intimate performances from (in order of appearance): Granger Smith, Jimmie Allen, The War and Treaty, Lainey Wilson and Russell Dickerson. All episodes are available HERE.
