24-years-old, Triston Marez is the future of country music.
The Houston native is yet to release a full-length album but has seen great success with his first two EP’s and a handful of singles. He got started by winning the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Talent competition in 2014. Just a few years before he made the decision to pursue music seriously while he was recovering from heart-saving heart surgery.
But now he’s done something that few artists have done. Sang a song with Ronnie Dunn. Half of Brooks & Dunn teamed up with the young Marez for the fantastic tune ‘Where The Neon Lies’
The two go together naturally ping-ponging off each other throughout the whole song. You wouldn’t think one was a living legend and the other a young gun. The song will be part of Triston’s upcoming self-titled full-length album, again his first, set to release on April 15th.
Scotty Bennett talked to him on Texas Nights last week about it. Hear the full interview below!
