Wade Bowen surprised fans with a new EP ‘The Waiting’.
Four of the six tracks are songs that have been previously featured on live albums but have never had a studio recorded release. Including ‘Who I Am’ one of the first songs Bowen ever penned. The fan favorite has earned millions of YouTube streams from a 2003 live recording from Lubbock’s famed venue The Blue Light Live. It’s one my favorite Bowen songs and that’s saying a lot.
There’s also a Phil Collins cover on there of ‘Fairest Lady’. If you missed it Wade just collaborated with the brilliant Nate Coon for another Collins cover ‘Easy Lover’.
If you haven’t watched any Nate Coon videos you are missing out. He teams up with Texas artists all the time for these fantastic covers that are often 80s pop songs. My favorites are with the man himself Aaron Watson.
And finally there is a new song on the EP. ‘Fairest Lady’ is just a whole lot of fun, oh, and he wrote it with Brent Cobb.
