Corey Kent just added another big milestone to his growing list of accomplishments.
His fan-favorite track “Something’s Gonna Kill Me” has officially been certified Platinum, continuing a strong run for the Bixby, Oklahoma native.
The song was originally released on his 2023 album Blacktop, and it’s become one of the standout tracks from the project. It’s also turned into a staple in his live show, with fans showing up already knowing every word.
The certification adds to an already impressive run for Kent, who has surpassed one billion career streams and seen major success with hits like his triple-Platinum breakout “Wild As Her,” along with the follow-up single “This Heart.”
“Something’s Gonna Kill Me” has connected in a different way, though. It leans into that gritty, guitar-driven sound he’s built his name on, but it’s the message that seems to stick with fans.
“‘Something’s Gonna Kill Me’ going Platinum is so special to me and something that I have to thank the fans for,” Kent said. “This song is a huge part of my world view. Living life fully. Not allowing fear, even the fear of death, to stop you from doing the things that make you feel most alive. It means so much that the message resonated so deeply with fans. Their support made this a platinum record.”
At this point, Corey Kent continues to build momentum, and this latest milestone is another sign of just how far his music is reaching.
