It’s a huge day for country music… and a big night shaping up for Texas.
Today it was announced that Paul Overstreet will be inducted into the CMA Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2026.
And now, there’s even more.
The Texas Regional Radio Music Awards has confirmed that Overstreet will also receive the Living Legend Award at the 2026 T3R Texas Music & Radio Awards.
That means two Living Legend honors will be handed out on the same night… with Overstreet joining Radney Foster for a stacked celebration of country music history.
Overstreet’s resume speaks for itself.
He’s a two-time Grammy Award winner, a member of the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, and a multi-time ACM, CMA, and Dove Award recipient. He was also named BMI Songwriter of the Year five consecutive years.
As a songwriter, his impact runs deep across the genre.
He’s written No. 1 hits for artists like Randy Travis, Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Tanya Tucker, Keith Whitley, Alison Krauss, The Judds, Ronnie Milsap, George Jones, and more… in addition to his own work as a solo artist and as part of the group S-K-O.
With a career spanning nearly four decades, Overstreet’s songs have helped define generations of country music.
Now, in 2026, he’s getting two major honors to match that legacy.
The T3R Texas Music & Radio Awards take place March 23 at Texas Live! in Arlington.
And this year… it’s officially a Living Legend kind of night.
