If you’ve got a tattoo… today might be your lucky day.
Chipotle is running a special Friday the 13th promotion where customers can score a buy-one-get-one free entrée just by showing a tattoo. And yes, it doesn’t even have to be real.
The catch? The deal only lasts one hour.
From 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. local time today (Friday, March 13), customers who show a tattoo at a participating Chipotle restaurant can buy one entrée and get another one free.
Even better, the tattoo can be a real tattoo, a temporary tattoo or even something you draw on yourself with a marker
So if you’ve got a Sharpie and five minutes, you’re technically eligible.
There are a few rules though. The promotion is in-restaurant only, meaning you can’t use the deal through the app, delivery, or online orders. Kids meals also don’t count as qualifying entrées.
Chipotle says the promotion is inspired by the long-running meme about people being “tatted like a Chipotle bag,”which first went viral during the 2019 Super Bowl when viewers joked that Adam Levine’s tattoos looked like the artwork on a Chipotle takeout bag.
The company has leaned into that joke ever since, and the tattoo-themed deal has become a fun Friday the 13th tradition for the chain.
One more tip if you’re thinking about trying it…that one-hour window tends to bring out some pretty serious burrito lines.
