Senior? Wobbly? Goofy marshmallow?
Yes to all of the above!
Puffy has been in and out of APA!’s care since he first came to APA! in 2015 as a bottle baby puppy. He’s grown into the sweet dog he is because of the dedicated people who surround him-his steadfast foster family, volunteers that step up to give his foster a break, the behavior program who goes above and beyond to help with any quirks that pop up and the community that loves him.

Waiting for a home of his own in his old age, Puffy approaches every single day with joy. He wobbles to his feet to enjoy the morning sunshine. If you forget to put his big blue ball outside, he’ll nudge you firmly to remind you that even senior dogs need playtime, he eats his meals with gusto and loves to relax to some music in the afternoon. He lays his head on your lap and looks at you like you’re the best thing in the world. And it’s true-he loves with the entirety of his heart and soul to anyone that will have him.

We know there are challenges to taking home a senior dog, let alone one that has a wobble to walk that continues to degenerate. He’s not in pain and in fact, has so much joy waiting for just the right person. His needs are pretty low at this point-a soft bed, a person to whisper sweet nothings to him, a couple of meals a day and the understanding his is UNIQUE. Perfection is boring, so why not make life a little bit happier and adopt Puffy!
