Ohhhhh this was one for the books.
What started as a half joking Valentine’s idea somehow turned into an actual phone call with the one and only Tiger King himself.
Yep. Joe Exotic called into KOKE in the Morning.
(And yes… Rita Ballou absolutely fangirled.)
If you missed it live, buckle up. We talked about what life is really like for him right now on the inside, and he gave us an update on his health, including where things stand with his cancer battle. He did not sugarcoat it.
We also asked him what he believes people misunderstand about him and what he wishes viewers knew beyond the documentary headlines. He addressed the biggest misconceptions surrounding his story and where he feels things were portrayed inaccurately. And of course, we talked about his hopes for a pardon and where that process stands right now.
Then we did what we do best and pivoted into chaos.
We put him through a round of “This or That” and honestly… that might have been the highlight.
There were a few moments that caught us off guard. A couple that made us laugh harder than we planned. And at least one where we all just kind of looked at each other like… did that really just happen?
Love him, hate him, can’t look away from him… whatever your take is, it was definitely a conversation.
