Country traditionalist Jake Worthington is hitting the road in a big way this year, announcing his Intent To Tonk Tour, a headlining run that kicks off this spring in Wilmington, North Carolina. From there, he’ll roll through major cities including Chicago, Nashville, Boston and New York.
Dubbed a “titan of twang” by Rolling Stone, Worthington has been steadily building momentum, and this tour puts him front and center. Alongside his headlining dates, he’s also slated for stadium shows with Luke Combs, plus festival stops and high-profile support slots with Luke Bryan, HARDY, Parker McCollum, Riley Green and Ian Munsick.
Worthington says this tour feels like stepping back into the spotlight after years of sharing stages on collaborative runs. Fans can expect plenty of songs from his album When I Write The Song.
The project leans into straight-up honky-tonk while still feeling current. It includes collaborations with Miranda Lambert, Marty Stuart and Mae Estes, and features production from Joey Moi, Jon Randall and Chuck Ainlay. Tracks like “It Ain’t The Whiskey,” “My Home’s In Oklahoma,” and “Hello Shitty Day” have helped solidify Worthington as one of the leading voices carrying the traditional country torch.
