Kevin Fowler is back with something new for your weekend playlist.
The longtime Texas favorite released “Maybe The Cowboys Were Right” on Friday and brought in David Lee Murphy to join him on the track. When you put those two voices together, you already know you’re getting a song rooted in real-deal country.
The tune leans into a familiar idea: maybe the warnings and bits of wisdom we’ve heard for years about love, heartbreak, and hard living might’ve actually been right. It’s relatable, it’s catchy, and it feels built for a crowd to sing along loud.
Murphy also helped write the song, adding even more of his signature style alongside Fowler’s Texas swagger. The collaboration feels natural.
