Texas country artist Tristan Roberson has released his take on a country classic, sharing a new cover of Kentucky Bluebird, originally made famous by Keith Whitley.
Roberson shared the news with fans this week, calling the song one that has always stayed close to him. “‘Kentucky Bluebird’ has always been one of those songs that gets you right in the heart,” he wrote. “I’m honored to put my own voice on this classic and keep it flying for a new generation.”
First released in 1988, “Kentucky Bluebird” has long been a fan favorite from Keith Whitley’s catalog and one that still resonates decades later. Roberson’s version stays true to the spirit of the original while adding his own vocal tone and modern touch.
The cover is available now on all major streaming platforms and check out the lyric video above.
