Lady Gaga is putting her own spin on one of TV’s most iconic songs.
In a new Super Bowl ad teaser for Rocket Mortgage, Gaga sings Mr. Rogers’ “Won’t You Be My Neighbor?” and it’s not the sweet, sing-along version you remember. Her stripped-down take feels heavier, more emotional, and very much of the moment.
Gaga has said she views the song almost as a protest, noting that Mr. Rogers “stood for something” and that revisiting the message right now feels especially meaningful.
The full commercial will air during the Super Bowl, but the teaser alone is already getting people talking.
