Braxton Keith kicked off the year with a brand new song called “I Ain’t Tryin’” and if you’re into traditional-leaning country with a little Western swing peppered in, this one hits the spot.
The track has that classic dancehall feel with lots of fiddle, plenty of steel, and a groove made for scootin’ around a dusty floor somewhere between Fort Worth and New Braunfels. Lyrically, it’s lighthearted and flirty in the way Braxton does really well: not overthinking it, not trying too hard (pun intended), just letting the story unfold with a wink.
Fans have been waiting on this one thanks to all the live clips floating around, and it finally landed today. Based on the reaction online and in the dancehalls, Braxton’s momentum isn’t slowing down anytime soon, and 2026 could be a big year for him if he keeps dropping songs like this.
