Wade Bowen had a milestone moment online today, sharing that he co-wrote a song on Vince Gill’s newly released EP, Brown’s Diner Bar. The project quietly dropped as the third installment of Gill’s 50 Years From Home series.
Bowen is credited as a co-writer on track three, “This Lonesome Old Cowboy,” alongside Gill. The EP features seven songs in total, all written or co-written by Gill, and includes collaborations with Leslie Satcher, Waylon Payne, Ernest and Jake Worthington.

In his post, Bowen didn’t hold back about what the moment means to him:
“Well it’s truly one of the greatest honors of my career and life to have written a song with Vince Gill on his newest project. He is one of the greats, not just talent but humans. I’m beyond proud to call you a friend and thank you for including this tune. Cheers to hopefully many more!”
The Brown’s Diner Bar EP marks the third chapter in Gill’s year-long 50 Years From Home series. With Gill producing the songs himself, the project leans into classic songwriting and storytelling with the kind of material his fans have loved for decades.
