If you’re planning to have football on in the background while you’re eating leftovers on Christmas Day, heads up … Lainey Wilson will be part of the halftime show during the Minnesota Vikings vs. Detroit Lions game.
Lainey is joining Snoop Dogg for his “Holiday Halftime Party,” which will air live on Netflix as part of the NFL’s Christmas Day coverage. Snoop is the main headliner, but Lainey bringing country music into the mix is a big win, especially on a day when just about everyone has the TV on.
The game kicks off at 3:30 p.m. – which means halftime will land mid-afternoon for us in Texas. Perfect timing if you’re parked on the couch, dodging dishes, or pretending you don’t need a nap yet.
This is another big mainstream moment for Lainey Wilson, who continues to pop up everywhere: awards shows, TV appearances, and now an NFL Christmas Day halftime stage. Not bad for a Louisiana girl who just keeps showing up and doing the work.
So yeah, football fans get their game, country fans get a little extra something at halftime, and Christmas Day just got one more thing worth tuning in for.
