Parker McCollum, Brooks & Dunn, and Jamey Johnson are all set to take the stage in Austin next year to honor two Texas icons. George Strait and Miranda Lambert will be inducted into the Texas Songwriters Hall of Fame as part of the 2026 Texas Songwriters Hall of Fame Awards.
The ceremony is scheduled for February 21, 2026, at ACL Live at The Moody Theater in Austin, bringing together some of the biggest names in Texas and country music to celebrate songwriting excellence. Tickets for the event are on sale now.
In addition to the headline performers, acclaimed singer-songwriters Natalie Hemby and Waylon Payne will also perform during the evening. The 2026 class will further honor legendary songwriters Don Cook and the late Keith Gattis for their lasting impact on country music.
Don Cook’s songwriting résumé includes 20 No. 1 hits, with 13 of those recorded by Brooks & Dunn, making him one of the most successful hitmakers in modern country history. Keith Gattis is best known for writing “El Cerrito Place,” which became a major hit for Kenny Chesney, along with songs recorded by George Strait, Willie Nelson, and George Jones.
The Texas Songwriters Hall of Fame Awards are dedicated to recognizing the songwriters who have shaped Texas music and influenced generations of artists, and the 2026 ceremony is shaping up to be a powerful night of tributes, performances, and Texas pride.
