Aaron Watson is riding into 2026 with a brand-new record, and it’s one he clearly poured his whole heart into. Fresh off announcing his 2026 Horse Named Tour, Aaron has revealed that his next album, Horse Named Texas, will arrive March 6, 2026.
“I’m really excited for everyone to hear Horse Named Texas,” Watson shared. “I’ve poured my heart into this album, and it truly means a lot to me.” Fans who pre-save or pre-order the project will also get an instant grat track called “Old Houses.”
This isn’t a small batch of songs, either. Watson co-wrote all 25 tracks, including the title track, a cowboy-story-meets-self-portrait where he compares his own journey to a steady, faithful horse that’s carried him from honky-tonks to arenas.
And if you’ve followed Watson’s career, you know this is a guy who does things his own way. His 2015 album The Underdog made history as the first independent country album to ever debut at No. 1 on the charts.
We’ll keep you posted as March gets closer! Saddle up, y’all!
