Cody Johnson’s house just got a little louder, a little sweeter, and a whole lot more cowboy. Cody and his wife Brandi welcomed their first son, Jaycee Daniel Johnson, on October 21, and big sisters Clara and Cori are already stepping into their new roles.
If you remember, the Johnsons first shared their baby news back in May on the ACM Awards red carpet. Brandi showed up with a baby bump, Cody grinned like only a proud dad can, and fans instantly knew something big was coming. Cody later said the red-carpet reveal was his idea.
The way he found out he was going to be a dad again is classic Texas. Brandi called him out to the barn to “unload a truck,” handed him a tiny box, and inside was the surprise. Their daughters were reportedly thrilled, and Cody admitted he was excited to finally raise a little boy after years of being a full-time girl dad.
The Johnsons haven’t released many personal details beyond the birth date, but the new baby joins a family rooted deep in Texas ranch life. Fair to say little Jaycee is already set up with a pair of tiny boots.
