Hey everyone … Cody Johnson wanted you all to hear it from him: his surgery to repair a ruptured eardrum was a success, and he’s on the mend.
In a video message, he showed off the patch on his ear and told fans:
“Doctor said the surgery went great … [I] should make a full recovery with the proper rehab. I’ve got a lot of follow-up doctor’s appointments to go yet.”
He also expressed deep gratitude: “Thanks for all the texts, the calls, the prayer requests, all the good wishes. I’ve really felt the love.”
Cody let folks know he plans to rest up, recover well, and come back stronger. He added, “I can’t wait to see you guys in 2026.”
He shared that the injury stemmed from an upper respiratory and sinus infection that caused the ear drum rupture; without surgery, he said recovery could have stretched out for months. Sadly, to accommodate healing time, Cody has canceled the remaining six tour dates for 2025.
