Vince Gill isn’t slowing down anytime soon. The country icon just signed a lifetime recording deal with MCA Records, extending a partnership that’s been going strong for more than three decades.
As part of the deal, Vince will release a brand-new EP every month for the next year, a full year of fresh music from one of country’s most respected voices.
The series, titled 50 Years From Home, will mix new songs with a few reimagined classics that tie into the project’s theme. The first installment, 50 Years From Home: I Gave You Everything I Had, drops October 17th, and includes his double-Platinum hit “Go Rest High on That Mountain.”
MCA President & CEO Mike Harris said the label couldn’t be more excited to keep working with Vince:
“Vince has been a major part of the MCA family for decades. This lifetime agreement reflects our unwavering commitment to supporting his artistic vision while ensuring his legacy continues to grow.”
Vince says he’s never felt more creative, adding:
“I’ve collected a treasure trove of songs, and with my friends at MCA we’ve found a way to release them all. This partnership has lasted 36 years, and I’m so grateful for it.”
His longtime manager, Larry Fitzgerald, echoed the sentiment:
“Vince’s fans won’t have to look any further than MCA to find his music. My relationship with Vince began 41 years ago, and I’m thrilled to stand with him at this important moment.”
After more than 50 years of making music, Vince Gill is still finding new ways to share it and honestly, we’ll take all the Vince we can get.
