The Grand Ole Opry is about to roll out the red carpet for one of the greats. On October 27, Nashville is throwing a huge party for Anne Murray, and some serious star power is showing up to do the honors.
We’re talking Trisha Yearwood, Martina McBride, k.d. lang, Kathy Mattea, Lorrie Morgan, Pam Tillis, Shenandoah, The Gatlin Brothers, Collin Raye, Natalie Grant, Michelle Wright, Victoria Shaw and that’s just the start. Special guests like Brenda Lee and Randy Travis will also be there.
Anne Murray’s career basically speaks for itself: more than 55 million albums sold, a shelf full of Grammys, CMAs, AMAs, and Junos, and a whole lot of hit songs that paved the way for the women of country music.
Bottom line: this is going to be one of those “wish you were there” nights at the Opry.
