Only Cody Johnson could pull this off. Cojo will be headlining a major festival while also saddling up to compete in the rodeo. This November, he is taking the stage at Hondo Rodeo Fest in Phoenix and jumping in the team roping competition.
The Huntsville native has never really left his cowboy roots behind. Before music took over, Johnson was chasing gold buckles as a bull rider, and now he’s back in the arena with a rope in his hand. Fans will get the best of both worlds: a Saturday night show with Cody and Jon Pardi, plus the chance to see CoJo in action on horseback.
Rodeo has always been a part of his story, from winning buckles in high school to writing “Dear Rodeo” … so it feels pretty fitting that he’s still chasing that cowboy dream even while selling out stadiums.
So if you’re heading to Phoenix Nov. 7–9, get ready. Cody Johnson is proving once again he’s as real-deal cowboy as they come with a microphone in one hand and rope in the other.
