Jon Wolfe and Randy Rogers have joined forces for a new song, “Tequila Cowboys.” The track serves as both a lighthearted anthem and a working man’s ballad, capturing the camaraderie and spirit of nights out with friends.
Built around the imagery of a weekend “posse” gathering under the neon lights, the song balances humor and relatability. Lyrics like “Tequila Cowboys, riding again, toasting good friends, sitting tall on a barstool, outlaws and fools” highlight its playful tone while reflecting the realities of everyday life.
The collaboration was written by Wolfe, Rogers, producer Dave Brainard, and songwriter Tony Ramey. Recorded at Wolfe’s home with Rogers joining in, the process drew inspiration from classic country duets in the tradition of Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings.
