For more than 20 years, the Randy Rogers Band has been carrying the flag for Texas country, and they’re not slowing down anytime soon. 2025 has already been a busy year with the release of their heartfelt single “Break Itself” and a collab with Parker McCollum called “Is This Thing Workin’.” Now, the guys are back with even bigger news, a brand-new EP called The Going, dropping October 24.
To give fans a taste of what’s coming, the band just released the EP’s title track, “The Going.” Written by Randy Rogers, Jedd Hughes, and Adam Wright (with Hughes also producing), the song taps into that classic Western road-song feel. It’s all about the journey, not the destination—delivering a timeless line: “It ain’t so much the getting to as much as it’s the goin’.”
Randy shared that this one felt a little different for him:
“The song ‘The Going’ is a musical sidestep in many ways for me. I’ve always loved story songs, and they are so hard to write. I hope you enjoy this ride as much as I did.”
