The Texas Country Music Hall of Fame announced Clay Cooper and K.T. Oslin as their 2023 inductees.
Clay Cooper was born in Wylie, Texas and began performing locally at age 14. Cooper released “A Little Ground in Texas” in 1989, which went to #60 on the Cash Box Charts. He currently runs the Clay Cooper Theatre in Branson, Missouri with his family.
K.T. Oslin was a singer from Arkansas who lived much of her life in Texas, studying at Lon Morris College in Jacksonville, Texas. Her hit singles included “I’ll Always Come Back,” “Hold Me,” “Do Ya,” “Two Hearts,” “Hey Bobby,” “Didn’t Expect It to Go Down This Way” and “This Woman.” She also wrote many of her songs and played keyboard on several of them.

Oslin’s accolades include winning the 1988 Country Music Association’s female vocalist of the year, edging out Reba McEntire who had won the previous four times.
Oslin died on Dec. 21, 2020 in Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 78.
The Texas Country Music Hall of Fame was created in 1998 to celebrate the contributions of Texans to the country music profession. Texas Country Music Hall of Fame Show is Saturday, August, 12, 2023 at the Carthage Civic Center in Carthage, TX. Ticket Sales Begin May 1, 2023.
