Rodney Terry has officially been named Head Coach of Texas Men’s Basketball. Terry spoke to the media Tuesday for the first time since dropping ‘interim’ from his title.
Listen to the press conference in full and check out the one-on-one interview with Coach Terry and Voice of the Longhorns, Craig Way.
After leading the Texas men’s basketball team to their first Elite 8 appearance since 2008, Terry coached his team to a 29-9 season and Big 12 Conference tournament. Terry’s record of 22-8 came as acting interim head coach following the termination of Chris Beard’s now-dropped felony domestic violence charge.
Terry is in his second year with the team and the program’s third coach since the 2015-16 season.
