We already know Charley Crockett is the coolest guy in music and he might just be the hardest working too.
The former street performer has quietly become a certified superstar over the last couple of years. Performing more shows in most months than many artists do in a year and releasing amazing songs and albums like it’s nothing, there’s a reason the distant relative of Davy Crockett has become a hot ticket for venues and festivals across the country.
Well, something big is coming from Crockett pretty dang soon. September 9th to be precise. The singer scrubbed his social media last week and released a video where he’s walking in an unknown location with the caption “Like the lonesome and high country he was lost in a haze”

What could this mean? We wondered, now we have a better idea.
Crockett gave us a second post of a photo in the same mystery location with the caption “The Man From Waco – September 9, 2022”

His bio now reads The Man From Waco • The New Album followed by a link to pre-order the album.
Now my initial thought was Charley ain’t from Waco. He spent plenty of his childhood in the Lone Star State, but not Waco so I initially had a theory that it could be a Billy Joe Shaver cover album. Then I saw he released a song that is most likely gonna be included in the album and it’s not a Shaver tune. But hey I’m Just A Clown is as good as any Crockett song. A1 stuff.
