We lost the legend Charley Pride a year ago and right now marks the end of the 50th anniversary of the biggest year in his career.
On this date back in 1971 Pride was number one on the charts with ‘Kiss An Angel Good Morning’. He then went on to win CMA Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, a 5-week stint at Country Music Number 1 and his only hit to make the Pop Charts.
We lost a real legend, but his legacy will live on forever.
