Some people forget that Jake Owen has a pretty impressive voice.
Yeah he’s come out with a few songs were he’s super monotone and maybe even rap-talking a bit, but when he sings, he sings. And for all the beach/party songs he releases, he’s got ten times more good ole country songs in his pocket.
His voice was put on show during a soundcheck before a show recently while he was covering some ole Waylon with “Lonesome On’ry And Mean”

‘Made For You’ he’s single from earlier in the year is acoustic gold.
And then his brand new one ‘Drunk On A Boat’ is definitely a party song but far from bro country. Hey I think it’s a catchy track!
