Carly Pearce made a bold move during her Grand Ole Opry performance last night and debuted a new song.
Two things that helped was she did it after following her hits and it’s a great song. The Kentucky girl stated growing up Loretta Lynn was one of her heroes and she wrote ‘Dear Loretta’ in the last year and a half when her music meant even more to her.
So, I wrote this song as a letter to Loretta, I’ve never met her but we have a lot in common.
And I think over the last year and a half I’ve understood her songs and the way that she told her truth a lot more than I ever thought I would.”
The show also included performances from The Isaacs and Craig Morgan. The show was opened by Craig belting out ‘That’s What I Love About Sunday’ with all his heart and soul like he always does.
