Musician Buck McCoy is one of many people who has been negatively affected by the Nashville bombing on Christmas.
McCoy was at his apartment on the city’s 2nd Avenue when the blast went off. He got out, but he lost everything in his home.
Country superstar Brad Paisley heard of McCoy’s misfortune and wanted to help. Brad sent McCoy an Instagram DM (which he thought was a joke) wishing him the best and asking for his address so he could send him a new guitar. When it arrived it had a note that read “Buck, twang on pal. Glad you’re still here.”
My friend Buck McCoy lost everything in the #christmasdaybombing in #nashville. @BradPaisley stepped up and gave him a new guitar 😭 I love my city and #countrymusic. pic.twitter.com/JFG7zKsufy

“Oh my God look at this — this is so gorgeous,” McCoy says in a video of him opening up the guitar, shared by TMZ. “Man I’m getting chills brother, I thank you so much for this gift, I promise I’ll keep it forever. I’m going to write a hit on this sucker right now!”
