If you ask me to list off my top ten favorite voices in music I’d be hard pressed to not include both Patsy Cline and Reba McEntire.
So when I heard Reba paid tribute to her fellow hero Patsy Cline by singing the Don Gibson penned ‘Sweet Dreams’ a cappella style, I had to give it a watch. It did not disappoint. Always nice when the greats appreciate the greats.
That performance was part of the Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum coronavirus fundraiser on October 28th that was streamed on YouTube and raised over half a million dollars.
The free stream included artists such as Miranda Lambert, Ashley McBryde, Tim McGraw, Ricky Skaggs, and Marty Stuart.
