Up and coming artist Mason Lively is good. Real good.
The release of his first official single since his debut 2018 album ‘Heavier Ties’ proves that the good thing is going to keep going.
Something ‘Bout A Southern Girl was written by Lively, Drew Kennedy, and Wade Bowen.
The man himself!! Y’all heard him! Thank you @WadeBowen for all your guidance! It’d incomprehensible how much influence you have on me as an artist! Much love! 🤘🏼 pic.twitter.com/W9RAGYEBBe

Now, what stood out to me most about Mason when I first saw him in concert last year was his cover of John Mayer’s Gravity. One of my all-time favorite songs that could never be topped. Well, add a little country spin, and bam, pure gold.
“We started playing this song when we first went out on the road to promote “Stronger Ties,” Mason told us. “The response we’d get from crowds when it came to this song, was unreal. So I knew this thing with Shake would been a perfect opportunity to record it, and get it out to the fans.” -Mason Lively on ‘Gravity’ via Radio Texas Live
