Little Richard Once Covered Johnny Cash’s ‘Get Rhythm’

This past Saturday Little Richard passed away suddenly at the age of 87. You might not have known the ‘Lucille’ singer was part of the Johnny Cash tribute album Kindred Spirits: A Tribute to the Songs of Johnny Cash. 

Released back in 2002 Little Richard sang ‘Get Rhythm’ from the b-side of Cash’s famous 1956 album ‘I Walk The Line’

According to Rolling Stone Little Richard recorded that in a six-hour session in Nashville.

Kindred Spirits was released a year before the man in black’s death and includes performances from Dwight Yoakem, Bob Dylan, Hank Williams jr. and more
