Tune in tonight at 6 pm to hear 30+ artists including Aaron Watson, Wade Bowen, Cody Jinks, Josh Grider, and Kaitlin Butts sing songs of the late great Don Williams.
It will be streamed live on the Sequestered Songwriters FaceBook page. The pages statement reads “This page was created solely for the purpose of streaming weekly Monday night virtual guitar pulls hosted by a group of songwriter friends paying tribute to a different artist every week during this covid-19 quarantine” Pretty neat.
Don Williams is one of my all time favorites. His ’20 Greatest Hits’ album was one of the first cassette tapes I ever owned. I go back to my the front seat of my dads pickup truck whenever I hear the Gentle Giant sing. His songs are extremely thought provoking yet so simple and he sings in a way that you draws in you and makes every song seem like a story.
