Jasmine is a sweet and cuddly girl who’s playful like a puppy. She has big paws, a goofy little trot, and she definitely thinks she’s a lap dog. She’s always so happy to see her friends, giving them lots of kisses, and when they scritch the top of her head or ears, she closes her eyes in pure bliss.
Jasmine has a nice medium energy level, and while she’s a big fan of doing zoomies, she’s very good about chilling out if zoomies aren’t appropriate at that moment. On top of her winning personality, Jasmine is incredibly smart and loves showing off fun skills like shake (with either paw!), touch (will reach out and boop her nose to your fingers), roll over, and spin! She also already knows sit, down, recall (come on command), place (will go to a specific place in your home on command), and she walks beautifully on leash! It’s no surprise that Jasmine’s thriving in APA!’s Total Obedience Program (TOP), which is modeled after the AKC’s Canine Good Citizen (CGC) test.
As a TOP dog, Jasmine has a personalized training plan and works with a volunteer trainer several times a week to help her learn the skills to become the best dog she can be! Once Jasmine successfully completes all the skills on her training plan, she will be considered TOP Dog Ready! Jasmine is working hard to become a wonderful companion, and as a part of APA’s Total Obedience Program you can work with APA staff to continue to build a training relationship with Jasmine after adoption and master all the TOP dog skills together. While Jasmine loves her human friends and can throw out some adorable play bows with her good friends in playgroup, she prefers to be the one and only pet in the home unless it’s the absolute perfect match. Exuberant, playful, curious and eager to please, Jasmine is plenty of pup to love and will provide a lifetime of love and laughs. Come meet her!
