Mo Pitney followed up from his brilliant 2016 album ‘Behind This Guitar’ with the two song EP ‘Ain’t Lookin’ Back’.
The EP includes ‘Ain’t Bad For A Good Ol’ Boy’ which was featured on the soundtrack of the Netflix series ‘The Ranch’.
Pitney released two official videos of the title track. An audio of the produced track.
And a striped down acoustic version.
Both are worth a listen. The first offers a theatrical sound with a sense of urgency making one feel like you’re in a western. The second showcases just how powerful Mo’s voice can be and can draw you in to every word he sings.
The 26-year-old has seen minor success on the national level with his highest charted song being his first single ‘Country’ when it hit number number 35 back in 2014.
With the singles highly repetitive chorus there’s a chance mainstream radio could give it a chance.
We need artists like Mo to thrive now more than ever.
