Someone stole Curtis Grimes guitar and equipment from his truck last weekend. As upsetting as that is, the Gilmer, Texas native is trying to look at things in a positive light when he tweeted out:
Someone stole my guitars and music equipment out of my truck last night and it stings. Doing the police report and insurance thing now when I realized something, you can still share the gospel with a thief in the act. When they open that case, first thing they will see is JESUS
Grimes’ alma mater, East Texas Baptist University is offering up a $1,000 reward to anyone who returns the guitar.
ETBU Alumnus @curtisgrimes‘ music equipment was recently stolen, including his treasured Jesus guitar. ETBU President J. Blair Blackburn is offering a $1,000 reward for the return of the guitar, no questions asked. Contact 903.923.2323 to make arrangements. pic.twitter.com/IzOuqFkvuU

There’s proof these ‘no questions asked’ offers work. Last year someone stole Randall King’s guitar and he offered $1,500 as a reward, that he shortly upped to $2,000 and within a week he got it back. None the wiser who the thief was.
Hopefully there is an even happier end to this tale.
