Shortly before 7 a.m. this morning (Saturday, Feb. 8th) Neal McCoy used Facebook Live to let his friends and family know that his tour bus, “Old Glory” was literally “burning to the ground” before his eyes.
The fire took place in Mansfield, Louisiana while McCoy and his band were on the way to do a show at the Rapides Parish Coliseum in Alexandria, Louisiana.
Luckily, no one on the bus was injured and everyone was able to escape safely. Even though the bus was a total loss, the trailer hauling the band’s equipment was able to be saved. “Old Glory” has been a part of the McCoy family for twelve years.
McCoy, known for his unwavering patriotism and dedication to saying the Pledge of Allegiance every day, asked the first responders that put out the bus fire to join him in saying the pledge for the last time with “Old Glory.”
