Eleven Hundred Springs wants to tell their story and they need your help to get it done. They are doing an Indiegogo fundraising campaign to fund a documentary about their twenty years together.
There are bands that play country, and then there are country bands. Some would say it boils down to authenticity. Dallas natives know that legendary local band Eleven Hundred Springs has that authenticity. Created by Matt Hillyer and Steven Berg in 1998, Eleven Hundred Springs has the sound and soul that rings true to country music fans everywhere. Fans have been supporting the band they have come to know and love for years and years. But who actually KNOWS them? You will soon. For the very first time, Eleven Hundred Springs is compiling years of behind the scenes footage with present day interviews from the band and key figures from their history to create a documentary that spans more than 20 years. Watch the band’s musical journey as they evolve from fresh-faced young musicians to respected and influential icons, never losing their sense of humor. Witness life on the road in the days before the internet. And, if you’re a long-time fan, you might even see performances that you personally experienced.

This project will only happen with your contribution. Without it, our story is just an archive of old photos and videos, sitting on a hard drive where nobody will ever see it. This narrative is an important one for our audience to see and hear. Beyond that, so much of it takes place in an “analog” time, which is compelling on its own. For folks who are interested in today’s regional Texas / Red Dirt music scene, this documentary starts nearly a decade before there was even a name for the loosely defined genre(s) we know today, so at the very least, this is an intriguing look back. Eleven Hundred Springs / Matt & Steve have been creating and releasing content since the early 1990’s. We always come in under budget, on time, and do our best to over deliver.
We know that putting this thing together is no small task. Assembling our archive, sorting through it with a filmmaker, adding interview footage, and all the elements of a project like this take time, effort, and money. Our ability to commit is obvious, and our desire to get this done is at the top of our to-do list.
Even $1 helps. Contribute what you can, like, and share.
