Today marks the 20th year anniversary of the collapse of the Texas A&M bonfire.
The tradition of the Texas A&M bonfire burned for more than 90 years but all that changed on Nov. 18, 1999 – when 11 students and one former student lost their lives and 27 other were injured in the accident.
Fifty-seven Aggies were working on construction of the bonfire when it collapsed at 2:42 a.m.
