Due to the freezing temperatures and chance of icy roads, multiple area schools are releasing information on delays and/or closures. Here is the current list … more will be added if needed.
Delays
- Austin ISD — Two-hour delay.
- Bastrop ISD — Two-hour delay.
- Blanco ISD — Two-hour delay. BES will start at 9:55 a.m., BMS 10 a.m., and BHS at 10:05 a.m.
- Burnet CISD — Two-hour delay.
- Chaparral Star Academy — Classes canceled for the entire day.
- Concordia University — Two-hour delay.
- Del Valle ISD — Two-hour delay.
- Doss CCSD — Late start, school will begin at 10 a.m.
- Dripping Springs ISD — Two-hour delay.
- Eanes ISD — Two-hour delay. Child Development Centers at Barton Creek, Forest Trail and Valley View will start at 9 a.m.
- Elgin ISD — Two-hour delay.
- Fredericksburg ISD — Late start, school will begin at 10 a.m.
- Georgetown ISD — Two-hour delay.
- Harmony Public Schools — Two-hour delay, classes will begin at 10 a.m.
- Harper ISD — Two-hour delay. Pre-K students will not report to school.
- Hays CISD — Two-hour delay. All-day PPCD program for four-year-olds is also delayed two hours. Half-day PPCD program for three-year-olds is canceled.
- Hutto ISD — Two-hour delay.
- IDEA Public Schools — Two-hour delay.
- Johnson City ISD — Two-hour delay.
- KIPP Texas Public Schools — Two-hour delay.
- Lago Vista — Two-hour delay.
- Lake Travis ISD — Two-hour delay.
- Leander ISD — Delayed start. Elementary schools start at 9:45 a.m. Middle schools start at 10:55 a.m. High schools start at 10:40 a.m. Morning and Pre-K PSLP are canceled.
- Liberty Hill ISD — Two-hour delay.
- Llano ISD — Two-hour delay. No breakfast will be served.
- Lockhart ISD — Two-hour delay.
- Manor ISD — Two-hour delay.
- Marble Falls ISD — Two-hour delay.
- Mason ISD — Two-hour delay.
- Meridian World School — Two-hour delay.
- Pflugerville ISD — Two-hour delay.
- Regents School of Austin — Two-hour delay.
- Round Rock ISD — Two-hour delay. All before-school activities have been canceled. Start times for RRISD schools will be 9:40 a.m. for elementary schools; 10:20 a.m. for middle schools; 11:05 a.m. for high schools; and 9:40 a.m. for pre-K. ECSE AM will run from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. ECSE PM will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. First PEAR and APPLE session will be held at 11:30 a.m.
- Smithville ISD — Two-hour delay.
- Texas School for the Deaf — Two-hour delay.
- Wimberley ISD — Two-hour delay.
Other Delays
- Hays County government offices — Delayed start. Will open at 10 a.m.
- Williamson County offices (not Williamson County ISD) — Delayed start. Will open at 10 a.m.
- Texas Commission on Environmental Quality — Delayed start. Will open at 10 a.m.
- San Marcos city offices — Delayed start. Will open at 10 a.m.
UT Austin and St. Edward’s University will operate on its normal schedules.
