Dolly Parton is joining the Hallmark Christmas movie lineup!
According to Entertainment Tonight, Dolly will not only make an appearance in the Hallmark Channel’s new original holiday movie, her amusement park Dollywood will be featured in the plot line.
The movie will star Danica McKellar (YES, Winnie Cooper from “The Wonder Years) who will play a single mother and Broadway producer who leaves New York City for Tennessee to produce a show at Dollywood. (And I am sure she falls in love and lives happily ever after at some point … this IS a Hallmark movie!)
“I grew up watching Dolly Parton on TV. I love her. She is everything. I got to meet her…she is charismatic and gorgeous and lovely, and she’s the best person ever,” McKellar told Entertainment Tonight this week. “I’m so excited that I get to work with her.”
McKellar’s real-life mother and son will also make cameos in the movie, which will premiere during Hallmark’s “Countdown to Christmas” in December of 2019.
