Rodeo Austin will host the Youth Auction on Friday, March 23 at its brand-new location ACL Live at The Moody Theater. Family, friends and local businesses will gather to show support and bid on the projects from Texas youth. This event is free and open to the public.
The auction will feature 416 students from this year’s Junior Livestock Show. Students selected their Junior Livestock Show projects up to a year ago and have spent the past two weeks showing their animals at Rodeo Austin in hopes of claiming a spot in the Youth Auction.
The Grand and Reserve Grand Champion steers, goats, lambs and barrows will be on display at the event. On-site registration will be available at the event for prospective buyers interested in participating in this year’s auction.
Last year, supporters of Rodeo Austin helped make the Youth Auction a record-breaking year, raising more than $1.4 million for Texas youth.
Youth Auction Schedule:
9:30 a.m. — Youth Auction Opening Ceremony and Poultry Auction
10:15 a.m. — Goat Auction
12:00 p.m. — Grand Champion Steer Auction
1:30 p.m. — Lamb Auction
3:00 p.m. — Barrow Auction
