As the flooding/issues continue. several school districts and universities have cancelled classes/events.
Giddings ISD – Classes canceled Aug. 28
McDade ISD – Classes canceled Aug. 28
Elgin ISD – Classes canceled Aug. 28
Bastrop ISD – Classes canceled Aug. 28
Smithville ISD – Classes canceled Aug. 28
Texas State University – Weekend events canceled; Classes canceled at San Marcos and Round Rock campuses for Aug. 28
New Braunfels ISD – Classes canceled Aug. 28
Bastrop ISD – Classes canceled Aug. 28
Hutto ISD – open with a 2 hour delay, Aug 28
All start times are pushed back two hours from normal, so elementary schools will now start at 9:40 and middle and high schools will start at 10:30.
• Morning half-day Pre-K and morning half-day PPCD classes are cancelled.
• Doors for elementary schools will open and 9:10 and secondary doors will open at 9:45.
• All staff, including cafeteria, transportation, teachers, etc. should report two hours later than normal unless directed otherwise by a supervisor.
• Bus pickups will be 2 hours later than normal.
Manor ISD – Classes cancelled Aug. 28
Pflugerville ISD – open with a 2 hour delay, Aug 28
- Elementary classes will start at 9:40.
- Middle school classes will start at 10:05
- High school classes will start at 11 a.m.
- Buses will operate their regular bus routes on a two-hour delay.
- The school day will end at the normal time.
Lockhart ISD – Classes cancelled Aug. 28
Del Valle ISD – Classes cancelled Aug. 28
Thrall ISD – First day of the 2017-18 school year will begin after a 2-hour delayed start on Monday, Aug 28.
- School will begin at 10:00 AM
- Buses will pick up students 2 hours later than their normal pick up time.
San Marcos CISD – Classes cancelled Aug. 28
Round Rock ISD – open with a 2 hour delay, Aug 28
- Elementary School Start Time – 9:40 a.m.
- Middle School Start Time – 10:20 a.m.
- High School Start Time – 11:05 a.m.
- Pre-K – AM – 9:40 a.m. – 11:15 a.m.
- All buses will also run two hours late.
Coupland ISD – open with a 2 hour delay, Aug 28
- School will begin at 9:45 a.m.
- Breakfast will not be served.
- Buses will pick up students 2 hours later than their normal pick up time.
Leander ISD – open with a regular schedule on Monday, Aug 28
